In 2000, Edwin Bouldin Architect PA began working on a 50,000 square foot addition/wing to Calloway Center. The addition became the F.M. Kirby Wing. The addition was designed to meet the pressing need for classroom and office space within the existing building.
The addition provides not only more physical space, but also an enhanced learning environment to complement the school’s educational philosophy. For example, in addition to the traditional team classrooms there are adjoining breakout spaces for students to collaborate on projects. Outside of the classroom environment there is a two-story main entry level. The entrance to the new building centers between the existing Calloway Center and the Kirby Wing addition with a dramatic new bridge.
