In order to provide an additional sequestered conference area for private seminars, our firm prepared designs for an adaptive re-use of the farm group. This project includes the restoration of existing farm buildings into conference suites and an addition of two new buildings. A meeting/dining center was designed with the meeting room accommodating 250 people auditorium style and 90 people executive style.
The meeting center building was constructed within an existing courtyard bounded by the L-shape of the existing Mews and two exterior garden walls. This new meeting structure is comprised of materials such as stucco, sandstone and a low flat roof assembled in a simple contemporary manner so as not to conflict with views of the existing tower, slate roofs, and the existing historical design.
The cost of the renovation was approximately 2 million dollars.
